If you're a curly girl you've probably suffered through all the dry ends, thinned-out layers or bad blow dries you can handle. Designed with curly, textured, or coily hair in mind, these curl-friendly products are sure to leave your hair looking and feeling great. Read on to find out our top tips for looking after curly hair and discover our recommendations.

Our Curl range

Discover the routine

The Curl range has been formulated to take the deepest care of curly, coily or wavy hair. Curly hair often tends to be dryer and more damaged than other types of hair. That's why we created 5 products, all of them being deeply nourishing without weighing hair down.

Enriched in an Oat Lipids Complex, Wheat extract, Camellia Oil or Cocoa Butter, the Curl range provides long-lasting curl definition for smooth, manageable and bouncy curls. The formulas enhance and define natural curls by controlling volume and helping to tame frizz, while nourishing and conditioning hair for a silky and soft-looking finish.

How to use the full routine?

Begin the routine with the Curl Defining Shampoo. It will gently cleanse your curls without stripping hair and scalp of natural oils. Work a generous amount into wet hair. Lather well, massaging from the scalp through the ends and rinse thoroughly.

Follow with the Curl Defining Conditioner. Enriched in Almond Oil, it is clinically proven to enhance bounce and deeply nourish all curl types. Smooth through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair and leave-it on for 1 to 2 minutes. Feel free to apply it onto your scalp too for a deep conditioning treatment.

For a quicker but just as efficient routine, try the Curl Defining Cleansing Conditioner, a lightweight co-wash which hydrates and cleanses curls in one simple step. Work a few pumps into wet hair, evenly massage into your scalp before smoothing through the lengths. Leave it on for 1 to 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

For defined and frizz-free curls, apply our Curl Defining Leave-In Butter just after your cleansing routine. Its deeply nourishing formula helps to tame and enhance curls with minimal effort. Rub the product between your palms and scrunch onto wet or dry hair. Leave to air dry or style as usual.

To revitalise curls between washes, use the Curl Revival Mist. Its lightweight formula brings curls back to their freshly wash state by nurturing the natural curl pattern and shape in between wash days. Shake to activate the curl technology before spraying onto dry hair and style as usual.

4 tips to look after curly hair

Sleep in a bonnet

Did you know your pillowcase can cause damage and frizz? Protect your hair even when you're sleeping with our Overnight Hair Wrap. Sleeping in this satin hair wrap can help to keep your curls looking defined, with the added benefit of reducing the appearance of frizz so you can rise and shine to gorgeous, healthy-looking curls every day.

Deep condition your hair

Curly, textured, or coily hair is often considerably drier than other hair types. It's important to add an extra level of curl care into your routine by deep conditioning your scalp and ends when needed. We recommend using the Grow Gorgeous Curl Duo when you wash, to enhance and define natural curls leaving them frizz-free, bouncy and healthy-looking. To deep condition your curls after washing massage our Curl Defining Conditioner from root to tip and let it sit in your hair for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly for deeply hydrated hair.

Style when your hair is wet

Wet styling is a tried and tested curly girl method. Some people prefer to leave hair until it is damp, as opposed to fresh out the shower wet, before styling - but it's a personal choice and you're free to experiment with what works best for your curl pattern! Rub our Curl Defining Leave-In Butter between palms and scrunch your curls, either leave to dry naturally or style as usual.

Do not overwash

Curly hair is typically drier and more prone to frizz than its non-textured counterpart. As the oil from the scalp struggles to travel down the hair shaft this can result in greasy roots and dry ends. To combat this we recommend washing less than those with straight hair. Very coily hair can go up to a month without washing, but those with loose curls may want to lather a few times a week. It is a personal choice, depending on your curl type but if you find yourself washing more often and struggling with dryness swap out your usual routine for a co-wash routine.

You found the perfect routine for your curls!

As already mentioned, curly hair is harder to keep moisturised than straight hair. Tighter spirals are usually drier, denser, and more prone to breakage than soft waves, and may need more attention. Conversely, wavy hair people should steer clear of overusing products that may weigh hair down, making it limp, lifeless, and greasy. Focus on finding the products and wash-cycle that work for you!
